First Duplex Acquired

The offer that we put in late March was accepted and we are going to own a Duplex! We get possession on April 15th, and hope to have a couple of tenants by May 1st. Once we have possession, there are a couple minor things that I would like to change (which aren’t required, but if I was living in it I would want changed). After a couple days I’ll get pictures and make a couple posts with details for people to view and evaluate!

I’ve not been entirely happy with the results that we have been seeing with our Mutual Funds in either RRSPs, TFSA and Open Investments. It almost seems that the stock market crashes far more frequently now…so I’ve been looking to diversify. As I learned in Cash Flow Quadrant, diversifying can mean more than one thing.

2 Different Engines, Same Problem

Over the last week there have been 2 different engine problems. One being my truck, and the other being my snowblower. Now that both engines have been repaired, both mechanical companies gave me the same root problem…but we’ll get to that later…

Working to become Microsoft Certified

Over the last few years at my full time job at MTS, I’ve been building ASP.NET and WCF Services in C#. I was able to easily begin my trasnfer into the .NET team by applying my knowledge from the JAVA and PHP worlds…but always thought there was more to learn. So, in April 2011 I purchased a couple of books to get me started on the MS certification path.

Update the About Me section
