About a month ago I took a look at the certifications that Microsoft offers. After an hour or so I had written down a total of 28 exams that I want to take, mainly for the challenge of fully learning many of the tools and skills that I have partially developped. The exams include exams for administrating servers and desktops in enterprise and consumer environments (total of 13 exams), software development for both web and windows applications (total of 9 exams) and the office suite (6 exams). Quite overwhelming!
About a month ago I purchased my first self-paced training kit. It is for the exam 70-515, Web Applications Development with Microsoft .NET Framework 4. I just started reading it today, and I am part way through Chapter 2. I have learned a couple things, but there is a few things that I don’t particularly agree with as I’m reading. I’m a strong believer in the SOLID design principles, and some of the concepts early in the book go against the SOLID suggestions. Oh well, I guess as long as I can overlook these things in order to pass the exam no harm done, right?
