Earlier this week I learned about MailChimp. Taken from their home page: MailChimp helps you design email newsletters, share them on social networks, integrate with services you already use, and track your results. It’s like your own personal publishing platform. So, I decided to look into it a bit more.
I signed up for free, and it walked me through setting up my first email. The email it auto-generated had pre-generated content explaining that I had moved email list providers. All I had to do was fill in a few specific details and it continued through its wizard. One of the steps even involved me typing in the URL for this website, and it automatically detected my logo and colors for use in the email! Now that really impressed me!
In short, I was able to import my list from my previous provider, and send my first email within 10 minutes. After another 5 minutes I had a signup form ready and configured on this website.
MailChimp is a service I would strongly recommend to any business looking to build an email list for distributing communications in a quick, effective manner.
