So I’m Not a Blogger

When I first created this blog, I thought that I would try to blog frequently. I’m not sure if that meant weekly or monthly, but it certainly was more often than I actually have. Maybe I hoped my life would be a bit more exciting and post worthy, maybe I thought I would be come a content creator. Neither of which are true at all.

So let’s see, what is new in the last 18 months? My 2nd child was born, we did a road trip back to Winnipeg, we moved to a smaller/newer home, and I replaced a high-mileage vehicle with a newer one.

Kurt Benjamin Erstelle was born February 28, 2015. I don’t have a lot of pics to post here, but they are all on Facebook. Today (many months later) he is almost ready to stand up on his own for longer than 3 seconds. He walks while holding our hands.  I can’t wait for that little guy to be standing/walking (getting into trouble) all on his own….he’s pretty heavy to still be carrying around.

The road trip is an experience I hope to never have to go through for a long time. 3 days in the car both ways with a 3 month old, a 3 year old and a tiny poodle. However, we did need to get back to Winnipeg as the 3 of us which are Canadian (myself, Jacki and Zoey) needed new passports. The main purpose of the trip was executed without any problems, and we got to enjoy spending a couple of weeks with our families and friends.

A couple of months ago we moved into our current home. It was built 2-3 years ago…is energy star rated, a little bit smaller (or more cozy) with a yard that is usable…though not very big. We are currently having the basement finished to include a main entertainment area, an office and storage room. The bathroom will get finished later as additional funds are saved up.

A couple of weeks ago I was able to replace a cheap car I had to get quickly with little money as a result of having to stop one job and start another further away from the house. I ended up getting a Black 2014 Dodge Charger RT, fairly well loaded with 38k miles on it. It doesn’t have the Blacktop package I was looking for…but I’ll be slowly replacing the parts to make it nice and black with no chrome.

Oh well, that’s enough for now. Who knows how much time will pass between now and the next time I post.
